The Hotel Pointe Isabelle in Chamonix is set to open Dec. 20 for the winter season after a six-month renovation and redesign by Swedish hospitality design company Stylt Trampoli, which purchased the property in July.

The 45-room hotel closed for several months during the renovation, and now boasts redone guestrooms and public spaces. The property features free Wi-Fi throughout, parking facilities and a ski room for winter sports equipment.

The hotel was named for Isabella Straton, who, in 1875 was the first woman to climb Mont Blanc. Its decor mixes modern and retro elements – such as tables fashioned from stacked vintage leather suitcases – inspired by Straton’s story.

Rates range from about $105 to $155 per night.
